Position: Veterinary Care Team
Background: I have been in the veterinary field for eight and a half years. I am employed
full time with a local veterinary hospital. I have worked part-time at an after-hours emergency hospital for
three years. I love my job—not many people get to say that. I have a deep caring and compassion for our little
furry family members. Their health and well-being are of the highest importance to me. I strive to stay current
with education and training opportunities in order to provide the best possible care to our precious companions.
All of my furry friends came to me as “throw aways”, animals bound for the shelter because no one wanted them.
Therefore, I am a very strong advocate for spaying and neutering our pets. I volunteer and donate to the shelter
and rescue organizations whenever possible. I am very dedicated to my community and try to give back as
much as I can. I have lived in this area my entire life.
Hobbies: I enjoy camping, swimming, and hiking with my dogs. I also like to go to the movies, do
puzzles and read. I am very close with my family and spend a lot of time with them.
Pets: I have been blessed with Lil’Bit, a 11 year old Blue Heeler mix. She is such a couch potato.
She loves to have her head petted. Then, there is Tigger, an eight year old Maine Coon cat. She is feral cat
that I bottle fed and raised by hand. I’m not really sure she appreciates all my efforts, but I still love her dearly.
I have Daisy, a seven year old Tonkinese cat. She is my “fraidy cat”, dashing under the bed at the slightest sudden
movement, but she also loves to have her belly rubbed and chin scratched. Sweetie is a six year old Domestic
Long Hair cat. She earned her name by demanding affection when she was a tiny kitten. She is seventeen
pounds now. We are working on her weight (much to her dismay). Ruca is a six year old Boxer mix. She loves
to chase squirrels, but so far the squirrels are winning because I warn them before I let her out. Leo is a five
year old orange Tabby cat. He is my snuggle bug inside, but a lean mean hunting machine outside. Titus is
a three and a half year old Boxer mix. He loves to play fetch and swim. He is my eighty pound lap dog; he has
no idea how big he is. I love them all so much. Everyone gets along really well. They certainly make life
entertaining and I love coming home to my little menagerie every day. No matter what my day has been like,
they are always happy to see me.
